Recently, we've seen two changes in the National Pre-Licensing Test: an update to the Test at the end 2012 and the addition of the UST, the breadth of content is now much greater. At the end of last year, the material was updates to be "current" as of November 16, 2012.
With no more hours required, acquiring, retaining and regurgitating the breadth of information required is an even more complex task. The overall pass rate has trended down to now a first time pass rate of 62%. When you consider that this is a two year average, we estimate that “real” pass rate right now in the mid-to-high 50% range. We see several learning problems here that we have addressed with our courses and feel are the key to higher pass rates than just a “good 20 hour course”. The key is a complete process designed to prepare folks to pass the National NMLS Test on the first attempt. If you are interested in maximizing Test pass rates Email me and a I or a team member can give you a better idea of how we chose to attack the challenge and are helping get more folks through on the first attempt.
